Let us tell you that in December 2022, Consumer Affairs Secretary Rohit Kumar Singh claimed that the stakeholders have agreed to make USB Type-C a charging port for smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
European Union standardized Type-C cable:
BIS also notified the standard for Type C chargers. Recently the European Union has passed an order to standardize the Type-C cable. According to Rohit Singh, according to the 2024 timeline of the European Union, the common charging port will be released in such a way that the industry and consumers can easily adopt it.
