Type-C port will be available in one country, one charger, phone tablet, and laptop, know how to get benefits:

Type-C cable has been made standard in India as well. With this, companies will use Type-C ports only for devices like mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. Bureau of Indian Standards or BIS has said that the Type-C standard will be for smartphones and electronic devices sold in India.

The talk of making Type-C a common charger was going on for many days. Now the Government of India has made it a standard cable. Type-C charging cables have become the standard for mobile phones, laptops, notebooks, and other items. With this, the user will not need to keep separate chargers. As soon as this facility is implemented, multiple devices can be charged with one charger.

The Bureau of Indian Standards or BIS has said that the Type-C standard will be for smartphones and electronic devices sold in India. This will reduce the number of chargers and people will be able to charge multiple devices with a single charger.

That is, consumers will not need to buy a separate charger every time with a new device. BIS has also said in its statement that this will help in achieving the mission of reducing e-waste of the Government of India.

It further states that earlier consumers needed different chargers for different electronic devices. Due to this, the cost of the customer also increased. Apart from this, e-waste also used to increase and there were other problems.

It has been further told in the report that countries around the world are working to overcome this problem. Let us tell you that in December 2022, Consumer Affairs Secretary Rohit Kumar Singh claimed that the stakeholders have agreed to make USB Type-C a charging port for smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

European Union standardized Type-C cable:

BIS also notified the standard for Type C chargers. Recently the European Union has passed an order to standardize the Type-C cable. According to Rohit Singh, according to the 2024 timeline of the European Union, the common charging port will be released in such a way that the industry and consumers can easily adopt it.

Let us tell you that currently different charging ports are used for phones, tablets, and laptops. Whereas the ports of iPhone and many Android phones are also quite different. But, after this standard, all companies will have to provide Type C charging ports with their devices.
